Decent Turkey Chili
- 1-1 1/2 lb ground turkey
- 2 chopped or sliced bell peppers (green, red, and/or yellow) (sometimes I use TJ's frozen mixed peppers)
- 1 chopped whole onion
- 5 diced cloves garlic
- 2 28-oz cans diced tomatoes, including juice
- 2 6-oz cans tomato paste
- 1 can whole black olives
- 1 can black beans, well drained
- 1 can pinto or white kidney beans, drained
- 1 package taco seasoning
- 2 tsp cumin
- 2 tsp chili powder
- salt to taste
- 1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup cilantro leaves, whole, opt
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1-2 little cans mild chopped green chiles
- 1 packet of onion soup mix
- Brown the turkey, drain it, and leave it in the pan
- Add the peppers, onion, and garlic then saute until tender
- Combine diced tomatoes, tomato paste, olives, beans, taco seasoning, spices, worcestershire, wine, chilies, and soup packet
- Heat in a crock pot for 6 hours
