Wild Rice With Pecans, Raisins And Orange Essence

  1. Cook long grain rice according to package directions, use slightly less water than recommended.
  2. Bring 2-3 cups of water to a boil in a sauce pan until kernels split open and rice is tender but not mushy. It may not absorb all the water.
  3. Drain and let cool.
  4. In a bowl mix the rices together and the remaining ingredients. Adjust seasonings with salt and pepper.
  5. Let mixture stand for at least 2 hours to let flavors blend. Serve at room temperature
