Green Masala Fish
- 3 table spoons oil.
- six cloves garlic.
- one bunch cilantro.
- 20 mint leaves say around 4 twigs.
- 2 big tomatoes or 3 medium tomatoes.
- one green chillie.
- 2 lbs Halibut filets.
- half level teaspoon salt, one teaspoon coriander powder and one teaspoon mango powder or lemon juice.
- Salt the fish on both sides, saute the fish on both sides on non stick pan for 5 minute until the fish water dries up.
- Put garlic, cilantro, mint, tomatoes and chillie in food grinder. grind to rough paste. In a pan put oil and the ground mix. Cook on low fire for half an hour. Add salt, Coriander powder and mango powder or lemon juice.
- Add fish into the above green sauce and cook until the fish is tender (around 10 minutes)and there is no water.
- Serve the fish on top of cooked basmati rice.
- You can accompany this with shredded cucumber in yogurt.
