Marshmallow Squares

  1. Base:
  2. Combine ingredients and press into a 9x13 pan. Bake at 325 for 15 minutes until lightly brown.
  3. Filling:
  4. Place gelatin in a bowl with cold water. Let stand 5 minutes. Throw hot water over gelatin. Add sugar all at once. Mix, then gradually beat, increasing speed, until on high speed, and mixture is stiff. Add salt, vanilla and vinegar. Spread over cooled base. Sprinke with coconut. After being cut squares may be rolled in coconut to make holding them easier when eating them. This makes a high square.
