Peanut Butter Pie

  1. In a saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch, flour, milk, water and egg yolks; mix well. Cook over low heat until thick, to a pudding-like consistency. Stir in vanilla and butter.
  2. In a medium size mixing bowl, blend powdered sugar and peanut butter until it resembles cornmeal. Sprinkle 3/4 of the mixture into bottom of baked pie shell; reserve the remaining 1/4.
  3. Add the filling and top with meringue.
  4. Sprinkle meringue with reserved crumb mixture and bake in a 300u0b0 oven until brown.
  5. Let sit 1 hour before serving.
  6. Store in refrigerator.
