Cranberry Crunch Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 400u0b0.
  2. Lightly grease 8-inch square pan.
  3. Sift flour, salt and cinnamon into bowl.
  4. Stir in brown sugar and oats. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.
  5. Add nuts.
  6. Press 1/2 of mixture evenly over bottom of pan.
  7. Bake at 400u0b0 for 5 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
  8. Mix sugar, cornstarch and relish in saucepan. Cook slowly, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils 3 minutes.
  9. Pour mixture over oats in square pan and top evenly with remaining oats.
  10. Bake at 400u0b0 for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
