Jim'S Chicken Bbq Sauce (Sweet-Sour-Hot)
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/8 cup mustard, spicy or whole seed
- 1/8 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced, dried (or substitute 2 cloves fresh garlic)
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoon Tabasco or cayenne hot sauce (or ground chili pequins, 2-3)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup blueberry jam (homemade)
- 1 Broiler chicken, whole
- 1. Combine all ingredients in a steel bowl - mix thoroughly.
- 2. Cut chicken up, pat dry with paper towel
- 3. Grill chicken in BBQ over hot coals. Occasionally cover to create thick smoke.
- 4. Use on grilled chicken during last 5 minutes of grilling after meat has browned.
- 5. Store in tight contained in the refrigerator for about 1 month.
