Bbq Grilled Brussel Sprouts

  1. Rinse Brussel sprouts and trim the bottoms off. add them to a pot of boiling water and blanch them for about 2-3 minutes. Depending on the size of the sprouts it may take a little longer. Do not over cook them. Remove from the heat and drain off the water and let sit until cool enough to handle. about 5 mins. Cut them in half from top to bottom. Put in a large bowl and add the oil, salt, pepper and sugar. Mix well. Heat your grill to a med high heat and pour the sprouts directly on to the grate. Be careful because the oil may flare up on you. Spread them out and use a large metal spatula to flip them over a few times unit they become caramelized and just a little charred. Its up to you how charred you like them. When done they have a sweet nutty flavor with just a little bit of crunch if you didn't over cook them
