Wendy'S Dulce De Leche Cake
- Cream 2 3/4 cups sugar
- and 4 sticks of butter till fluffy
- Add 6 eggs and beat till super fluffy and pale
- Add 2 3/4 cups flour
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- Pinch salt
- Alternating with
- 2/3 cup plain yogurt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups dulce de leche
- Strawberries, sliced thin
- Bake in 2 greased 10" round pans with parchment on bottom about 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- When cool. Split each round in half with very long serrated knife creating 4 thin rounds (I only used three layers; the fourth is an extra).
- Whip approx. 3 cups heavy cream and some powdered sugar until stiff.
- Put one of the thin cake layers on a plate. Spread whipped cream and and a layer of dulce de leche on the cake. Add a layer of sliced strawberries. Put the next cake layer on top and do the same with a layer of whipped cream, dulce de leche and strawberries. And put the top cake layer on top. drizzle with dulce de leche or sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
