Any Berry Crisp
- 1 (16 ounce) bag of frozen berries of your choice OR 4 cups of fresh berries of your choice
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt, to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon of pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or almonds
- 1. In a glass baking dish or deep pie dish, add fruit and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar (This is a secret ingredient and will make the flavor of your fruit pop!)
- 2. In a separate bowl combine flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, salt, butter. Mix with fork until it forms a crumble consistency.
- 3. Sprinkle nuts over top of fruit.
- 4. Dot with butter.
- 5. Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes until crumble starts to lightly brown and crisp. May be served warm or cold.
- 6. Add whipped cream or ice cream for a special yum!
