Spaghetti With Spicy Meat Sauce
- 12 oz. uncooked Spaghetti
- 3/4 lb. Ground Beef
- 1 chopped Onion
- 1 1/2 tsp. chopped Garlic
- 1 cup Red Wine Merlot is fine
- 26 oz. jar Spaghetti Sauce ( tomato w/ basil)
- 2/3 cup lowfat Milk
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1/4 tsp. Pepper
- 1/4 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
- 1/2 tsp. Chili Powder
- Cook pasta according to package. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Brown Ground Beef, Onion and Garlic. Drain fat from skillet when browned. Add Cayenne Pepper and Chili Powder to meat and stir.
- In a sauce pan add meat to jarred Spaghetti Sauce and Red Wine. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer for 15 minutes stirring occasionally. Stir in Milk, Salt and Pepper and continue at a simmer for and additional 5 minutes. Serve over pasta.
