Peet'S Jasmine Lime Tea Cooler
- Jasmine Tea:
- 2 Bags of Peet's Jasmine Fancya Tea*
- 1 Full Tea Pot of boiled water
- Lime Simple Syrup:
- Fresh-squeezed juice from 2 limes
- 2 tbsp lemon juice (store-bought or fresh-squeezed)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup white cane sugar
- *you can substitute this with any brand of Jasmine Tea, Peet's brand is probably just closest to the real deal
- Lime Simple Syrup
- 1. Pour the lemon juice into a jar.
- 2. Squeeze the juice from the two limes and pour into the jar with the lemon juice. Set aside.
- 3. Measure the water and sugar and pour both into a pot. Boil the water over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes or until all the sugar has dissolved.
- 4. Turn off stove and allow sugar mixture to cool for a couple of hours
- While sugar mixture is cooling...
- Jasmine Tea:
- Boil water and pour into tea pot with 2 bags of Jasmine tea.
- Allow to steep for about 5 minutes (more or less depending on how strong you want your tea).
- Allow tea to cool.
- After sugar mixture has cooled, pour into jar with the lemon and lime juice and mix until combined.
- Pour jasmine tea over ice into a glass and add about 2-3 table spoons of the lime simple syrup depending on how sweet and "lime-y" you want it.
- Enjoy!
- Save the rest of your lime simple syrup in the fridge. For best results, make one cup at a time.
