Mospice Bunt Cake
- 1 C. soft butter
- 3/4 C. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 C. molasses
- 2 C. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 tsp. ground allspice
- 1/3 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 C. boiling water
- 1 C. milk
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- Cream butter and suger until fluffy, add eggs one at a time beating well after each egg. Add molassas, blend well, add milk, mix until just blended.
- In another bowl, mix ginger, cloves, cinnamon, flour, and salt. Beating at low speed, add three tablespoons flour mixture at a time to liquid mixture until all flour is used. Combine baking soda and boiling water, stir and add to batter, mixing well. Batter will be very wet.
- Pour batter into greased and floured bundt pan. Bake 350 for 50 minuts or until toothpick comes out clean when tested. Cool 10-15 minutes and invert to cooling rack.When cool sprinkle with powdered suger or glaze. Glaze: 2 C. powdered suger, 2 Tbs. soft butter, 5 T. milk. Blend until smooth, pour over bundt cake.
