Spring Mix Salad With Garlic Balsamic Dressing
- For Salad:
- 1 package Spring Mix salad
- 1 container grape tomatoes
- 1 jar drained capers
- Kalamata Olives (as many as you want to add)
- Chopped yellow onion
- 2 Haas Avocados sliced and doused with lime juice
- 1 small container Blue Cheese Crumbles
- For Dressing:
- 5 Fresh Minced Garlic Cloves
- 2 tablespoons garlic salt
- 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
- 1 tablespoon complete seasoning (you can get this in the ethnic food isle - Mexican)
- 2 tablespoons sugar (you need to use white granulated sugar for this)
- Add spring mix to your favorite salad dish. Then add onion, capers, olives and tomatoes. Dice Avocados and add over top of salad and squirt with lime juice to keep them from turning brown. Add Blue Cheese Crumbles and refrigerate. Do not add salad dressing until right before serving.
- To make dressing:
- Fill the cup to 1/2 cup with Balsamic Vinegar and using a fork mix around the ingredients
- Add Extra Virgin Olive Oil to taste. More olive oil cuts the tartness of the vinegar. I generally end up with a mixture that equals about 3/4 cups in the measuring cup.
