The Compassionate Carnivore'S Vegan Chili
- 1 large can tomato sauce (or two small cans)
- 1 can of light red kidney beans
- 1 package morning star farms veggie grillers (1 lb. Bag)
- 1 pkg. McCormicks chili seasoning (mild, medium,or hot)
- Chopped portabella mushrooms (as many as desired)
- 'Tofutti' brand sour cream
- Optional:
- Diced hot peppers
- Shredded cheddar-style soy cheese (as topping)
- Chopped carrots or any veggie of your choosing
- Instant rice/mashed potatoes
- Combine all ingredients in large saucepan. Keep on medium heat, covered, and stir occasionally. Serve when nice and hot with some crackers, or on a bed of rice or mashed potatoes. Top with a dollop of Tofutti sour cream and soy cheddar is desired. Devour!
