The Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 2 c. (1 lb.) butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 c. flour
- 5 c. oatmeal, whirred into powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 24 oz. chocolate chips
- 1 (8 oz.) plain Hershey bar, ground or chopped in blender
- 3 c. chopped nuts (any kind)
- Cream the butter, sugar and brown sugar.
- Add the eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Add the chocolate chips, Hershey bar and chopped nuts.
- Place golf ball size cookies 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- (Dough is stiff; roll balls of dough rather than drop from spoon. Flatten balls slightly before baking for bigger, flatter cookies.) Bake at 375u0b0 for 6 to 10 minutes.
- They should still be a little soft.
- Makes 112 to 125 cookies.
