Whoopee Pies
- 1 cup Shortening
- 2 cups Sugar
- 4 cups Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Hot Water
- 2 Eggs
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla
- 1 cup Cocoa (baking)
- 1 cup Sour Milk (add 1 TBSP lemon juice to milk)
- 3 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 2 Egg Whites
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla
- 3 cups Powdered Sugar
- 4 tablespoons Flour
- 4 tablespoons Milk
- 1 1/4 cups Shortening
- COOKIES
- 1. Cream shortening (1 cup), 2 cups granulated sugar, 2 eggs, 1 TBSP vanilla till creamy smooth!
- 2. Mix togteher 4 cups flour, 1 cup cocoa, and 1 tsp salt
- 3. Add to cream mixture and sour milk. Mix to smooth.
- 4. Roll into @ 2 tablespoon sized balls and place on greased cookie sheet.
- 5. Bake 7 - 9 minutes (do not overbake) Allow to cool
- FILLING
- 1. Cream 2 egg whites and vanilla till stiff.
- 2. Add powdered sugar, 4 TBSP flour. 4 TBSP milk and 1 1/4 cups shorting till stiff,
