Oriental Coleslaw
- 1 pkg of Ramen Noodles
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds or chopped pecans
- 6-7 cups (1/2 head) green cabbage, shredded 1/8" thick
- 1/2 cup green onions, sliced into rings 1/4" thick
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 Tbsp sesame seeds
- Ingredients for Dressing:
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 3 Tbsp white vinegar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 Tbsp dry oregano leaves, crushed
- 1 pkg Ramen Noodle Flavor Packet - Oriental Flavor
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Crush the Ramen noodles and add to the skillet.
- Saute noodles until they are coated with butter. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- In a large salad bowl, combine Ramen noodles, almonds, cabbage, green onions, salt, pepper, and sesame seeds.
- Just before serving, add the dressing and toss to mix.
