Cheese Rich Bean Dip
- 2 16 oz cans refried beans
- 1 8 oz package cream cheese
- 1 8 oz package sour cream
- 15-20 drops tabasco
- 4 oz taco sauce
- 1-2 cups chedder cheese (grated)
- 1-2 cups monteray jack cheese (grated)
- Cream cream cheese and sour cream in a mixer.
- Add tabasco sauce and taco sauce.
- Stir in the beans and the cheese by hand. It will get very thick. Add as much cheese as you like (up to 2 cups each), but reserve enough to sprinkle a nice layer on top.
- Put in serving casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour.
- Serve immediately with sturdy tortilla chips for dipping (or assorted crudites if preferred).
- Or, transfer baked contents to a crock pot to keep heated for a longer time.
- If desired, provide small plates on the side so that each person can scoop a portion onto the plate.
