Manicotti Or Large Seashells
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 slices sandwich bread, cubed
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 1/4 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
- 8 pieces manicotti or shells
- 1 (32 to 36 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- In skillet, brown beef.
- Remove from heat; drain off fat. Combine bread and milk and let stand 2 minutes.
- Add bread and milk mixture to beef.
- Stir in egg, Mozzarella cheese, parsley, salt and pepper; set aside.
- Cook manicotti or shells according to package.
- Spread 1 1/2 cups sauce in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Fill manicotti/shells with beef mixture and place in single layer on sauce in prepared dish.
- Cover with remaining sauce and top with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake, covered, at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes. Serves 8 manicotti or shells.
