Chocolate-Oat-Chip Cookies
- 1 c. (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
- 1 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed firmly
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. Quaker oats
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. Nestle semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- Heat oven to 375u0b0.
- Beat margarine and sugars until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well.
- Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well.
- Stir in oats, chocolate morsels and nuts; mix well.
- Drop by rounded tablespoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 to 10 minutes for a chewy cookie or 12 to 13 minutes for a crisp cookie.
- Cool on wire rack.
- Makes about 5 dozen 2 1/2-inch cookies.
