Spiked Cranberry Sauce With Ginger & Orange
- 12 ounce bag of fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 2-3 tablespoons of orange liqueur (Such as Cointreau)
- 2-3 tablespoons of spiced rum
- Zest from 1 large Orange
- 1 tablespoon - chopped candied ginger
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- Pinch Allspice
- Pinch Nutmeg
- 1) Combine all ingredients in a medium sauce pan.
- 2) Simmer over medium heat until berries popabout 10 min
- 3) Simmer another 5-10- min depending on the consistency you wish to achieve...Sauce will thicken when cool
- 4) Remove cinnamon sticks
- 5) Cool to room temperature
- 6) Cover and refrigerate
- 7) ENJOY with your turkey orover Brie.
