Batter For Fish Fry(No Fat - Baked)
- 2 Tbsp. lite mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp. Dijon-style mustard
- 1/2 c. cornflake crumbs
- 1/2 c. unflavored fine dry bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. plain toasted wheat germ
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
- 1/4 tsp. dried oregano leaves
- 1 lb. fish fillets
- Heat oven to 450u0b0.
- Lightly spray a cookie sheet with nonstick vegetable spray.
- In a shallow dish, stir mayonnaise, mustard and 2 tablespoons water until blended and smooth.
- In a second shallow dish, combine cornflake crumbs, bread crumbs, wheat germ, salt, pepper, thyme and oregano.
- Dip each fish fillet first into mayonnaise mixture and then into crumb mixture to coat thoroughly. Shake gently to remove excess crumbs.
- Arrange fillets on a cookie sheet.
- Bake 12 to 14 minutes until golden brown.
