Lasagna

  1. Directions:
  2. Cook the ground beef and sausage in a large pot over medium heat; drain
  3. Add onion, green and red peppers cook with meat for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Add garlic cook for 2 minutes
  5. Add crushed and whole tomatoes. While cooking break the whole tomatoes up into chunks.
  6. Cook for 30 minutes on low heat
  7. After 30 minutes add heavy cream and ricotta cheese
  8. While this is cooking shred your cheese and mix them together
  9. To assemble lasagna:
  10. Ladle enough of the meat sauce into a 9x13 inch baking dish to cover the bottom in a thin layer
  11. Cover with noodles about 3 there will be space between the noodles its ok
  12. Ladle more sauce over the noodles top with cheese mixture and repeat the process until all noodles are gone
  13. Once you are done top your lasagna with the rest of the cheese mixture
  14. Place on a baking sheet in case of boil over and bake for 25 minutes
  15. Remove the cover and bake another 10 minutes
  16. Remove from oven and let it sit for 15 minutes before cutting
