Chicken Macaroni And Cheese

  1. In a 3-quart saucepan over medium heat, melt butter or margarine. Add green pepper and celery. Cook until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in flour, salt and pepper until blended.
  2. Gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens slightly. Stir in chicken and shredded cheese just until cheese is melted.
  3. Remove from heat. Stir cooked, hot macaroni into cheese mixture until well blended. Serve with salad and crackers or hot bread.
  4. Kids will love this.
  5. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
