My Children'S Favorite Cranberry Pecan Tassies
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/3 c. Ocean Spray fresh cranberries, finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp. coarsely broken pecans
- Blend cheese and 1/2 cup butter; stir in flour.
- Chill about 1 hour.
- Shape into 2 dozen 1-inch balls.
- Place in ungreased 1 3/4-inch muffin pans.
- Press dough evenly against bottom and sides of each.
- Blend together egg, sugar, 1 tablespoon butter, vanilla and dash of salt just until smooth.
- Stir in berries and pecans.
- Spoon into pastry lined muffin cups.
- Bake in 325u0b0 oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until filling is set.
- Cool in pans. Makes 24.
