Chinese Barbecued Spareribs

  1. Layer spareribs in shallow pan; dust with salt and pepper. Bake 30 minutes in
  2. hot (450u0b0) oven.
  3. Meantime, in saucepan, stir together onion, tomato sauce, vinegar, soy sauce, honey, salt, pepper, mustard, Tabasco sauce, bay leaf, garlic and water.
  4. Bring to boil. Pour over ribs.
  5. Reduce heat to 350u0b0 and bake 1 hour. Baste twice with pan drippings.
  6. Garnish.
  7. Cut scallions and/or small pickles.
  8. Delicious!
