Turkey Buns(Quick!)
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1 c. chopped onions
- 1 c. (2-inch) green pepper strips
- 2 lb. raw, ground turkey
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. green olives, coarsely chopped
- 1 c. raisins
- 4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/4 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 8 hamburger buns or pita bread, halved
- Melt margarine in frypan over medium-high heat.
- Add onions and green pepper; saute until limp.
- Add turkey, mixing well. Cook until no longer pink, about 4 to 5 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients except buns.
- Bring to a boil.
- Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
- Spoon onto buns.
- Yields 8 servings.
