Ham And Macaroni Twist Casserole
- 2 c. rotini or elbow macaroni, cooked in unsalted water and drained
- 1 1/2 c. (8 oz.) cubed cooked ham
- 1 (2.8 oz.) can French fried onions, divided
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli spears, thawed and drained
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of celery soup
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- In a 12 x 8-inch baking dish, combine hot macaroni, ham and 1/2 can French fried onions.
- Divide broccoli spears into 6 small bunches.
- Arrange bunches of spears down center of dish, alternating direction of flowerets.
- In small bowl, combine soup, milk, 1/2 cup cheese and seasonings; pour over macaroni mixture and broccoli.
- Cover.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until thoroughly heated.
- Top with remaining cheese.
- Sprinkle onions down center of cheese.
- Continue baking, uncovered, for 5 minutes, or until onions are golden brown.
- Makes 4 to 6 servings.
