London Broil
- 2 Pounds Tri Tip Sirloin Flank Steak
- Marinade:
- 1 Cup Italian Dressing
- 4 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 4 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 Cloves Garlic
- Rub:
- 6 Tbsp Ground Black Pepper
- 4 Tbsp Ground Coffee
- 2 Tbsp Paprika
- Sauce:
- 2 Tbsp Cornstarch
- 4 Tbsp Black Ground Pepper
- 4 Tbsp Ground Coffee
- Night Before:
- Place the steak, italian dressing, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and garlic in a baggie and marinate overnight.
- Meat Preparation:
- 1. Place the meat on a cookie sheet and apply rub to both sides. Let the meat get to room temperature
- 2. Pour the leftover marinade into a small sauce pan.
- 3. Turn on the grill to medium heat
- 4. Grill the meat for about 5 minutes on each side (to cook at medium)
- 5. Once desired temperature is reach, take off the grill and wrap in foil.
- 6. Wait 5 minutes, then slice the meat as thin as possible, with the grain.
- Sauce Preparation:
- 1. While the meat is grilling, bring the marinade to a boil in the sauce pan, stir consistently.
- 2. Bring contents to a simmer,
- 3. Add pepper and coffee, and stir.
- 4. While whisking the sauce, slowly add cornstarch. Continue to whisk until clumps are gone.
