Shrimp And Grits (Wishbone-Chicago)

  2. 1. Fry bacon in large skillet until browned at edges but not too crisp. Drain on paper towels and set aside. Leave fat in skillet.
  3. 2. Return skillet to medium-high heat. When it is hot, add shrimp and cook until they begin to color. Add mushrooms and cook until they begin to soften, about 4 minutes. Sprinkle with green onions, bacon and garlic. Season with lemon juice, red pepper sauce, parsley, salt and pepper.
  4. 3. Stir cayenne pepper to taste into the grits.
  5. Preparation time 25 minutes
  6. Cooking time 20 minutes
  7. Yield 4 servings
