Apple Bread
- 22 oz Jar of Apple Sauce
- 2/3 cup melted butter
- 1 med Granny Smith Apple, pealed and cubed
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon (optional)
- Pinch of salt
- 3 - 4 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Grease 2 9" loaf pans. ( or 1 bunt pan).
- Mix apple sauce, cinnamon and sugar in a large bowl.
- Add Melted Butter, Eggs and Vanilla.
- Add apples and walnuts.
- Spinkle baking soda and salt over mixture and mix in.
- Add flour about 1/2 a cup at at time until batter is gloppy.
- Place evenly into the 2 loaf pans.
- Bake for an hour at 350 or until a toothpick comes clean.
