Amber Ale Turkey Chili

  1. 1. Heat 1 tsp olive oil in a deep saute pan over medium heat. Add turkey and brown. Transfer to a small bowl, season with salt and set aside.
  2. 2. Drain pan and add remaining olive oil and onion and saute for 5 min. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Stir in chili powder, cumin, and oregano; saute 30 seconds.
  3. 3. Pour in ale and let simmer 5 minutes. Return turkey to pot and add crushed tomatoes, honey, chipotles, and 1/2 cup water. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  4. 4. Add beans during last 5 minutes of cooking to heat through. Stir in lime juice and serve with toppings.
  5. 250 calories per serving
