Apple Kissed Turkey Burgers
- Crisco(R) butter-flavored vegetable cooking spray
- 3/4 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup chopped peeled apple
- 2 green onions, chopped (about 1/4 cup)
- 3/4 teaspoon lemon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon apple pie spice or 1 pinch each ground cinnamon and allspice
- 1/2 cup chili sauce
- 1/2 cup Smucker's(R) apple jelly
- 4 Pepperidge Farm(R) Hamburger Buns, split and toasted
- Heat the broiler. Spray a broiler pan with the cooking spray.
- 2 Thoroughly mix the turkey, apple, green onions, lemon pepper, salt and apple pie spice in a medium bowl. Shape the turkey mixture into 4 (3/4-inch thick) burgers.
- 3 Broil the burgers 6 inches from the heat for 10 minutes or until cooked through, turning them over once halfway through the broiling time.
- 4 Heat the chili sauce and jelly in a 1-quart saucepan over medium heat until the mixture is hot and bubbling, stirring occasionally.
- 5 Top the burgers with the chili sauce mixture. Serve the burgers on the buns.
