Cocktail Meatballs In Barbecue Dip
- Sauce
- 1/2 cup minced onion
- 2 15-oz can tomato sauce
- 2 T horseradish
- 1 T dry mustard
- 1 T chili powder
- 1 T Worchestershire sauce
- 1 T molasses or brown sugar
- 1 t Tabasco (to taste)
- Meatballs
- 1 lb hamburger
- 1 lb sausage
- 1 egg
- 1 cup cracker crumbs
- Preheat oven to 450u0b0.
- Mix hamburger, sausage, egg and crumbled crackers together. Form into small balls and place on baking sheet. Brown in oven for 20 to 30 minutes, turning every 10 minutes.
- In large sauce pan, saute minced onion in butter or oil until soft, do not brown. Stir in all sauce ingredients. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve sauce over meatballs or place a tooth pick in each meatball and sauce in a dipping bowl.
