Spicy Barbeque Cheddar Burgers

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the ground beef, cheddar cheese, onion, and bread crumbs. Season with Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, mustard, cayenne and ground pepper. Mix well. Form into six patties, and place on a plate. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  2. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat. Place hamburgers on the hot grill, and cook for about 5 minutes per side, until well done and cheese is melted. Baste with barbeque sauce while cooking. For an option, add a slice of cheddar to each burger 1 minute before removing from grill, and allow cheese to melt. Serve on buns.
