Applesauce Fruit Cake

  1. Cream the butter or margarine.
  2. Add sugar gradually with spices.
  3. Cream until light. Sift flour, salt and soda.
  4. Dredge fruit in 1/2 cup flour. Beat eggs until light. Add alternately with remaining flour, stirring until well blended. Stir in dredged fruit, nuts and applesauce.
  5. Bake in greased pan in slow oven at 325u0b0 for about 1 1/2 hours or until done, depending on size of pan.
  6. I use bread pans.
