Savory Clam Balls

  1. Pour both cans of clams, plus the liquid from one of the cans, into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Crush crackers with rolling pin or blender, but not too fine.
  3. Add crumbs and seasonings to clams. Add melted butter and mix very thoroughly.
  4. Mixture should be thick enough to hold its shape when formed into little balls.
  5. If it is too liquidy, open second box of crackers, crush and add a few at a time.
  6. Shape mixture into 3/4-inch balls.
  7. Put balls on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 325u0b0 for 12 or 15 minutes. Place on a hot tray and serve with fancy toothpicks.
  8. Makes about 70, depending on how small you make them.
  9. Make the day before and refrigerate overnight in covered container.
  10. This allows seasonings to blend.
