Austrian Goulash(Crock-Pot Style)

  1. Sprinkle meat generously with salt, pepper and ground allspice.
  2. Place in crock-pot on high setting.
  3. Add 1 cut up onion and minced garlic.
  4. Add carrots, celery, bay leaf, 3 or 4 peppercorns and 4 whole allspice.
  5. Add tomato puree and sugar.
  6. Add beef gravy, leave on high for 2 hours, then turn down to low.
  7. Set for 7 hours.
  8. Boil noodles.
  9. Strain sauce if you desire.
  10. Serve over noodles.
  11. Top with grated cheese.
