Marilyn'S Chocolate Cake
- 1 Devil Food cake mix
- 1 large chocolate pudding mix
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/4 c. chocolate milk
- 1/2 c. canola oil
- 3/4 c. walnuts
- 1 1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) butter
- 2 c. miniature marshmallow
- 3 c. confectioners sugar
- 3/4 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 3-4 Tbsp. milk
- Mix first 6 ingredients together and bake at 350 degrees until toothpick comes out clean.
- Do not overbake.
- Prepare frosting by melting butter over low heat.
- Add marshmallow and stir until melted.
- Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients until blended and smooth.
- Cover and refrigerated 30 minutes or until cold and very firm.
- Beat with mixer on high speed 3 minutes or until smooth and creamy.
- Spread on cooled cake.
