Schnitzel
- 1 package kosher chicken breast (1-1.3 pounds)
- 1 baguette (for bread crumbs)
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 cup vegitable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon
- 1/2 spoon of water
- 1. Slice off and discard the bottom crust of the bread if its tough. Cut bread into small cubes. Use food processor to turn baguette into bread crumbs. Should resemble coarse sand.
- 2. Mix the Eggs, mustard, thyme, salt, pepper, oregano, garlic powder, cayenne pepper and water with a fork in a small bowl
- 3. slice the chicken breasts and pound them with a tenderizer into 1/4 inch slices.
- 4. cover chicken with flour, dip in small bowl with eggs and spices, and cover with bread crumbs.
- 5. preheat pan
- 6. cook each breast for 2-3 minutes on each side on medium, medium high heat.
- 6. Serve with ketchup and lemon or soy sauce and teriyaki sauce.
