Homemade Tuna Casserole
- pasta, egg noodles
- Butter, 3T
- flour, 2T
- Chicken broth, 1 cup
- Milk, 2%, 1 c.
- Sharp Cheddar, grated, 1 cup
- Tuna, 2 cans
- peas, 1 cup
- Salt
- Pepper
- Bread Crumbs or panko crumbs
- Cook pasta according to directions.
- While pasta is cooking---
- Melt 3 T. butter in a sauce pan.
- Add 2 T. flour and mix letting bubble gently for a couple of minutes.
- Add 1 c. chicken broth and stir until it begins to thicken.
- Add 1 c. milk and stir until it also thickens.
- Add 1/2-1 cup sharp cheddar cheese.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour over noodles and stir.
- Add 2 cans tuna
- Add 1 c. peas and stir well
- Top with bread crumbs.
- Put in oven for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
