Louise'S Sauerkraut Balls
- 3 oz. cream cheese
- 1 tsp. mustard
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 8 oz. sausage
- 3 Tbsp. bread crumbs
- 2 well beaten eggs
- 14 oz. sauerkraut, drained and snipped
- 1/4 c. milk
- 3/4 c. bread crumbs
- parsley (optional)
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- Cook sausage and onion, drain.
- Add 3 tablespoons bread crumbs and sauerkraut in a bowl.
- Combine cream cheese, mustard, pepper and garlic salt.
- Stir in sausage mixture.
- Chill. Shape into balls; coat each ball in flour, dip in eggs and milk.
- Then roll in bread crumbs.
- Deep fry (takes only a minute or two).
- Freeze when cool.
- Heat in oven for 15 minutes when ready to serve (350u0b0).
- Makes about 35 to 40.
