Spinach With Ground Meat
- Frozen or fresh spinach (1 kilo or two to three frozen packs)
- 1/2 kilo of ground beef
- One large onion, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon All spice
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- a bunch of fresh coriander
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- lemons
- rice (cooked)
- In a cooking pot, add olive oil and heat
- Add onions, ground beef, spices and saute until meat browned
- Add spinach and saute for a few minutes then add enough water to cover the spinach
- Let boil, then turn down heat to simmer and cook for a further 30 minutes or so.
- In a separate pan saute the garlic and chopped coriander in some olive oil for a few minutes (do not burn) then add the mixture to the spinach and let simmer together for another 10-15 mins
- Serve hot with rice and salad. Serve lemons to squeeze on spinach
