Straight Red Chili 1801
- 3.5 pounds of Stewing Beef cut into 1 inch cubes
- 2 Tablespoon sunflower oil.
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon onion Powder
- I tablespoon garlic Powder
- 2 cans of tomato paste 5.5oz
- 2 cups of beef broth
- 2 cups of water
- Stage 2
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 jalapeno Chilli
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 packet 'Sazon Goya" can be found at Highland Farms
- 2 tablespoons of ancho chile Powder
- 2 table spoons of cocoa chile powder- McCormick brand is the one I use.
- 2 tablespoons of chipotle chile powder
- 2 tablespoons of mexican chile powder
- Stage 3
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of white pepper
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Utensils
- 1 large Pot with lid
- 1 large frying pan
- Measuring spoons
- Measuring Cup
- Knife
- Can opener
- Brown The meat with the 2tbs of oil in a large frying pan. Drain meat.
- In the large Pot add the meat and add stage 1 & 2 ingredients, bring to a boil cover and then reduce heat to a simmer for 45 min.
- Add Stage 3 Ingredients, mix well, cover and let simmer for another 45 min.
- Remove Chili from heat, let stand for 10 minutes.
- Serve with bread or a side of beans.
