Reuben Roll
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 c. Swiss cheese or Mozzarella, shredded
- 1/2 c. creamy Russian dressing
- 1 1/2 c. caraway rye bread crumbs, dried
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 (4 oz.) sauerkraut, drained
- Combine beef, onion, Worcestershire, Russian dressing, salt, egg, pepper and Russian dressing.
- Mix well.
- Roll out jelly roll fashion.
- In 1/2 of beef mixture add a layer of cheese and layer of sauerkraut.
- Place the other 1/2 of beef mixture over cheese and kraut.
- Best to roll on foil, then lift the foil to place beef over the filling.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes, 1/2 time reduce to 300u0b0. Do not overbake.
