Spicy Turkey Burgers
- 1 pkg. extra lean ground turkey (about 1.25 pounds)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup egg substitute
- 4 tablespoons salsa
- burger toppings: lettuce, onion, tomato, avocado, cheese
- In a large bowl mix together all spices, egg substitute, and salsa. Add the turkey and mix thoroughly. Shape into four 5 ounce burgers.
- Cook burgers on a cast iron grill pan or outdoor BBQ over medium heat. Cook for 6-8 minutes per side, until center is no longer pink.
- Top with desired toppings on bread of your choice.
- Option - Serve in leaves of butter lettuce for a Gluten Free, lower point, and low-carb version.
