Secret Kiss Cookies
- 2 sticks butter or oleo, melted
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1 c. finely chopped nuts
- 1 (6 oz.) bag Hershey's milk chocolate Kisses
- powdered sugar
- In large mixer bowl, beat butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.
- Add flour and nuts; beat on low speed of mixer until well blended.
- Cover, refrigerate 1 to 2 hours or until firm enough to handle.
- Remove wrappers from candy.
- Heat oven to 375u0b0.
- Use 1 tablespoon dough for each cookie, shape dough around candy; roll to make ball.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes until cookies are set but not brown.
- Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
- While still warm, roll in powdered sugar.
- Cool completely.
- Store in tightly covered container.
- Roll again in powdered sugar just before serving.
- Yields 3 dozen cookies.
