Rice With Seeds And Spices
- sunflower oil - 5ml/1tsp
- ground turmeric - 2.5ml/ 1/2tsp
- cardamom seeds,lightly crushed - 6
- coriander seeds lightly crushed - 1tsp
- garlic cloves,crushed - 1
- basmati rice - 200gms/1cup
- stock - 400ml
- natural yogurt - 15ml/ 1/2cup
- toasted sunflower seeds - 15ml/1tbsp
- toasted sesame seeds - 15ml/1tbsp
- salt and black pepper coriander to garnish
- 1.Heat oil in a non-stick pan and fry the spices and garlic for 1minute,stirring all the time
- 2.Add the rice and turmeric stock,bring to boil then cover and simmer for 15minutes or until just tender
- 3.Stir in yogurt and add the toasted seeds.Adjust the seasoning and serve hot,garnished with coriander leaves
