Ewald'S Easy Pancakes

  1. Fry the bacon in a skillet until well browned. Once done, remove the bacon and drain to serve with the cakes when they are done.
  2. Drain the excess oil, but leave a film.
  3. Mix up the pancake batter, and add the spices. Do not whisk for more than one minute. Add the egg and whisk lightly just before you pour the mix.
  4. Pour the mix in four sections into the still hot skillet. Wait until small bubbles form on the top of the cake to turn them over, they should be golden and brown on the edges.
  5. Lightly dust the cakes with powdered sugar, and serve with butter and syrup of your choice.
